My Shopping Card doesn't work

There are some simple ways to protect you Shopping Card from damage, as damage to your Shopping Card may result in its failure to work instore.

• Keep your Shopping Card safely in your wallet/purse, to keep it away from coins and keys or anything that can scratch it.
• Take care not to bend your Shopping Card as this may affect the card strip, an easy thing to do if you keep your wallet/purse in your back pocket and sit on it.
• Keep your Shopping Card away from your mobile phone and Oyster Card, as repeated scanning of your Shopping Card through the Oyster card system may result in the card strip failing to read.
