If your ONECart order failed and was over £800, but you were still charged, this may be what is called a shadow transaction. We have not taken these funds and they are being held by your bank.
Due to the high sum of the transaction, we carry out fraud prevention checks and get authorisation from the bank before the funds are taken. In this case, the bank has placed a reserve on your account for the amount of the transaction. However, due to an inconsistency in your payment details or billing address, the transaction has failed our authorisation checks. Although they have not been debited from your account, the funds will still be reserved and therefore will appear to have been taken. Your bank will release these funds to you automatically within 7 business.
